Cold Applied

Liquid Polyurethane is delivered to site in steel containers which require nothing more than stirring. Reinforced glass fibre matting, delivered to site in rolls, is needed to make up the system which is sandwiched between coats of liquid polyurethane. The system can be installed using a variety of coats and thicknesses subject to substrate and guarantee requirements. Insulation if required can be introduced to create a warm or inverted roof. Finishes can be natural, gritted to provide a slip resistant surface, ballast, slabs, timber decking etc. The membrane can be installed to any degree of pitch.

Hot Applied

Hot melt is bitumen which has been factory modified with a selection of synthetic rubbers, fillers and other additives and formed into blocks for delivery to site. On site the blocks are placed into a specially designed mixer for controlled melting. Once molten the first coat of bitumen is spread directly over the primed concrete deck to a thickness of approximately 3mm, a reinforcement sheet is introduced before a further 3mm coat of bitumen is applied. Once the reinforced bitumen has been laid a protection sheet is installed to provide a tough and flexible waterproofing system. Insulation if required can be introduced to create an inverted roof. Finishes can be, ballast or slabs, timber decking, garden roofs etc. The membrane can be installed to any degree of pitch and is commonly used for structural waterproofing.
